11 week old wants to stand?

recently ive been sitting my son on my lap hold him in a sitting upright position but sometime it seems like he wants to stand because every time i go to sit him down on my lap he tighten and straightens his legs so i stand him up for a few seconds then let him down but then he cries. does he really want to stand or is this my imagination? and secondly im afriad to stand him up for too long because i dont want to make him bow legged but somtimes i want to but him in his bouncer. i havent yet cause i still think hes too young and im afrid he'll get bow legged? opinions?
