Why do womens BM's smell so bad?

I volunteer in a group home and I have noticed that when the ladies go "number 2", it smells horrific. I always umed that guys where way grosser, but it's not true...I think women just get it over with quicker and are more discrete. Could something in all these women be wrong, I mean my nanna always said that women were like roses and always smelled good?
