Took car to dealership to have checked..?

This sounds more like a result of the battery replacement. The inst. panel does a self test sweep of the gauges and intialization. I would bet that you have a bad battery cable. If it has the small gauge wire on the positive cable that leads to the relay box that would be most suspect. Other than that you need to check the main cable and terminals. The cables can corrode inside of the coaxial coating and cause this kind of issue
